netBeans IDE 6.1 – The next best thing after Java

The rapid development of programming languages has given immense pressure on development environments (IDE’s) which are useful to increase development performance. All IDE developers try to take the attention and popularity towards them but one IDE tries to make a statement by it self to let the IDE user to have a look at it. It is none other than the netBeans IDE 6.1. I have followed the netBeans IDE from its 5.5 Enterprise pack till up to date and the rapid progress it has come up is something that cannot be described with just a few lines. I have used netBeans IDE in my day to day academic projects and the response that I get from the lectures is humongous. Since earlier we had to do loads of configuration manually to run a web project but with netBeans IDE 6.1 it’s just a matter of a click event because every thing is embedded to the netBeans IDE 6.1; so those hectic manually configuring xml files era is over.

The refactoring and find usage features are my most favorite area of the netBeans IDE 6.1 since in the earlier release candidate the refactoring process had some difficulty in refactoring a heap of class at one time but now with netBeans IDE 6.1 its much smoother and error free and over all as a person who used so much versions of the netBeans IDE 6.1 I can clearly see a huge difference in it so am really happy to see that the netBeans IDE team has worked really hard on this area with in a certain time limit. The safe delete feature is very reliable in the sense that normally we delete class files regularly and to keep track of its usage with the other classes in the project suite is a rare factor that i see in other ides.

The find usages feature is also a handy customer when the project structure gets maximized. Since at some point when i needed to check where i have used a method, an object reference or a global variable can easily be found by using this feature. The filtering process give in the find usage dialog is also something special which stands out netBeans IDE 6.1from the competitors.

The performance of the ide can be measured by using these two features where the netBeans IDE 6.1 startup is now even more faster that its for fathers .I have seen many IDE’s in the market but an IDE that supports several languages as well as best suited for an university student is the netBeans IDE 6.1 because of its simplicity, user interactive ness, performance and its rapid growth both in its community and the IDE it self. so why go for another when we have the full package at one place for free and to make things so fluent for especially java projects ....well don’t be worry because SunMicro Systems Inc is taking care of the IDE so if the sun goes down (not in this centaury) netBeans IDE will always be there. so hurry up and download it today and feel the difference.
